Her Bar acknowledges the pivotal role that Female Clerks and Chambers staff play within Chambers. Their roles enable and encourage other women to succeed at whatever career choice they make and guide and assist them along their desired path.
The array of female Clerks and other staff members at all levels of seniority have brought the professions to the attentions of those for whom a career in Chambers may not have been at the forefront of their career choices.
In addition, the presence of women in Clerks’ rooms have been reassuring to many female barristers (and males) and changed the face of what has been historically viewed as a male arena.
Many of the top roles within chambers are held by women and chambers recognises the volume of knowledge and crucial input that they bring to the business.
This section of Her Bar is to guide and assist any females wishing to join the profession, or those currently employed in chambers, with all aspects of chambers life. We aim to provide regular insightful articles.
